For starting the Brahmatal trek you have to reach Kathgodam first from where you will be traveling for 9 hours to reach Lohajung.

By railways: The nearest railway station is the Kathgodam railway station which is 219 km from Lohajung. You will easily find a local bus or taxi that will take you to Lohajung.

By road: There are a lot of direct buses from Delhi and Chandigarh. Reach Kathgodam and take a taxi or bus from there to reach Lohajung.
